WILL IT WORK WITH YOUR LADDER?
Ladder-Aide and Ladder-Aide Pro work great when it comes to painting on stairs, but as you might imagine, they don’t work with all kinds of ladders

OUR GOAL
We developed the Ladder-Aide because we saw a need that wasn’t being filled. We kept seeing questions about creating stable platforms for ladders on stairs, how to safely paint high ceilings and walls above staircases, and the best ladders for use on stairs. We knew there were other products on the market already, but they weren’t good enough.

These questions were coming from professionals and amateurs alike, and the answers they got varied from terrible advice (“just prop the ladder up on paint cans or concrete blocks“) to extensive debates about the pros and cons of other products (like the PiViT wedge, leg extenders, ladder levellers, and scaffolding).

It became clear to us professional painters and other contractors, home-owners, and maintenance teams needed a better way to access high walls above steps and stairwells, and we felt we could do it. We started by establishing some basic criteria:
1.
Easy and quick to set up.
2.
Doesn’t require permanent installation
Scaffolding works great but takes too much time and energy to set up.

It’s also expensive to buy or rent—especially if you’re just hanging a picture or changing a light bulb.
Ladder levellers and leg extenders make ladders heavier and annoying to carry around, and you need to buy one for every ladder.

Our solution had to work with whichever ladder was right for the job at hand.
3.
Easy to move
We needed to build something simple and light that would let you do a whole staircase without having to take it apart and put it back together after every step.
4.
Most importantly,
it must be safe.
Falls are one of the leading causes of injury and death, and ladder-related accidents account for nearly half of falls.

Our solution had to be sturdy, stable, and fool-proof. We wanted it to inspire confidence and feel just like the ladder is sitting on solid ground.
