Ideal Security is a 3rd generation family-owned company, based in Montreal, Canada.

Started in 1956 by Jack Jospe, we've been manufacturing and distributing specialty hardware for over 60 years. In the early 1980’s we employed over 200 people at our various locations, always based in the borough of Lasalle.

We developed the Ladder-Aide Ladder Levellers because we saw a need for our customers - the professionals and the DIYers - to safely work on ladders on stairs. First launched in 2016, Ladder-Aide has taken us down a new path. In 2018 we added the Ladder-Aide Pro. In 2019, the Ladder-Aide PRO won the NHRA Retailers’ Choice Award and the UIA Best Marketing Award. And in 2020 we added the Ideal Pro Tool Bag and the Boxtown Ladder Carriers.
